“Caring For Our Parish Community”

Prayer Ministry: Join a group of faithful who meet every Monday at noon in the sanctuary to pray for others. Names from the prayer list are included in the Sunday prayers of the people. Join others in a prayer chain to pray for the special needs of family and friends.

Prayer Shawl Ministry

Volunteers prayerfully knit simple, rectangular shawls with the intention of giving comfort to another. Shawls are given to friends and families of the Church, who are experiencing hurt or pain of any kind. The group meets the 2nd and 4th Mondays of each month at the Church from 1 - 3 PM. Experience is not required! We will teach you to knit or crochet. If you prefer to knit at home we can provide patterns and yarn.

Lay Eucharistic Visitor: Lay members of the parish take communion to members who are ill or shut-in, at home, in the hospital, in retirement communities or in nursing homes. Trainings are scheduled and there is a commitment of one Sunday every other month.

Transportation Ministry: Volunteer to drive people in our parish community to and from services, to doctor appointments, to the grocery, and to other services. A few hours a month can make a big difference!

Meals: Parish members help by preparing or delivering meals for parents of a new baby, those who are shut-in, those who are ill, and those who grieve.

Caregiver Respite: Join others in giving some time to those in our parish who care for a family member at home. Lend a helping hand!

Visitor and Phone Ministry: You can help with this important ministry by visiting or phoning persons who are sick or shut-in at home or in a nursing home or in the hospital.

Card and Plant Ministry: Cards are sent for: get well wishes, sympathy, celebration of births, and special occasions. Plants are sent from the Church of the Servant to the immediate family in memory of the one who has died.
